Can I use cash for purchases on the night of the event?

Taste of Hope is able to accept cash for some activities at the event as a form of payment. Use of a credit or debit card is available for all activities, donations, and other purchases the night of the event.

How can I bid on silent auction items at the event?

Prior to the event and when you check-in to the event, you may receive a text from GiveSmart, our online fundraising platform. This text will contain a link that leads you to the silent auction. If you need assistance with GiveSmart, please see one of the event staff for assistance, we are happy to help.

Can I make a donation?

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

Monetary donations to the American Cancer Society are tax-deductible. When you make a donation through GiveSmart, our online fundraising platform, you will receive an emailed statement. If you mail a check, you will receive a mailed acknowledgement. If you are missing a receipt for your donation to Taste of Hope, please reach out to [email protected]

How will my donation be used?

The American Cancer Society makes significant investments in cancer research, advocacy, and patient support. Our programs provide people facing cancer with information and education on prevention, early detection, as well as treatment options. A smaller portion of our resources are used to fund our management and general expenses, as well as fundraising expenses.
